A few key facts about me to help you understand my personality and my unconventional philosophy on life:

  • I was born and raised in Ukraine

  • I was a professional gymnast and have spent thousands of hours in the gym since I was 5 years old

  • Former Canadian National Team Member

  • 2015 Canada Winter Games Champion

  • Graduated from York University with a B. Sc. in Kinesiology & Health Science

  • I have a Youtube channel called Med School Ewhere I help med students with their assignments and learn better

In essence, I am a nerd with a wealth of athletic background to help me navigate the world.

My Academic Story

My education began in Ukraine up until grade 5. It was an extremely competitive environment that was constantly reinforced by the teachers. Winners were awarded and poor behavior was punished evenly and consistently. It brought out the best from kids. We learned the basic principles of hard work, discipline, punctuality, and self-reliance at a very young age. When I came to Canada, I was shocked at how easy-going the schools were. At the time, I did not understand the value of my early education in Ukraine, but it could not be more clear today.

In high school, I was the kid who worked hard, handed my assignments in on time, and memorized my way through science. I was a well above average student, I have an incredibly competitive nature due to my early childhood and athletic career. Some nights I couldn’t sleep knowing that someone else studied less but had a better grade than I did. After years of sporadic wins and losses, I finally began developing systems of my own that led to consistent victories in my university career. Remember: champions do not win sporadically—they deliver results on a consistent basis. I wish I’d had a mentor who would have taught me the principles I had to discover through years of trial and error. I am grateful I went through the process though; it makes teaching these concepts so much more rewarding. I love watching my students apply these principles wholeheartedly and change their outcomes within weeks. My greatest gift to students is my ability to influence them to change their mindset and in turn accomplish their greatest goals. This gift is not for everybody but those who are serious about their future attain a tremendous advantage over their competition.

Why Education

Education is the foundation for good and evil. Even with all the modern day distractions, it is hard to be ignorant of the flaws in our schooling system.

I have been an educator in various disciplines. I was a gymnastics coach for over 5 years prior to entering the realm of academics. I had incredible coaches and mentors over the course of my athletic career that have helped me build a foundation for HOW to succeed in any endeavor. Over time, I was able to transfer it to education. I understand the complex mechanics of how learning occurs, and I am able to deliver it in a simplistic manner to my Conquer School team and students. I am a lifelong learner. With the wealth of information available to us today, it would be a sin to stagnate personal growth. I have some selfish motivations for choosing education. I love the feeling of delivering value to others. The more drastically I can change a person’s undesirable habits, the more rewarding my purpose becomes.

Why Conquer School

Several times a day, I wonder how I can add more value to the world. The youth are in need of leadership and guidance in academics and beyond. I founded Conquer School to create an environment for students who want more than average out of life.

Our mission is to develop self-reliant and competent youth that are capable of utilizing their skills and talents to make a significant impact on our communities.

A few key facts about me!

  •  I was born and raised in Vietnam and moved to Canada in 2017 for high school

  •  I graduated from Seneca College with an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design

  •  I’m a creative who solves problems via the avenues of graphic design, photography, videography, marketing and advertising

Why Education

I went to high school in Canada for two years starting in grade 10, followed by 3 years in college. That was when it began. I saw first-hand the problems which Canadian high school students are facing. Participation trophies, lack of motivation, distraction, laziness, procrastination, social anxiety, depression, social media addictions, defeatist mindset, lack of guidance… I’ve always wanted to do something about this. It’s disgusting to see teenagers wasting away their potential. So, as if life had heard my yearning, I joined Andriy and Conquer School in December of 2022 on this very meaningful project to help hard-working high school students who want better.

Why Conquer School

I met Andriy in an online business program. Our points of view on life and education as well as our values align in many ways and, just like that, I decided to partner up with him and the others to make a difference in high school students’ lives in Canada.
